How to Grow Spiritually

As a child of God you will need certain things in order to mature.  In your heart you have just received the 'incorruptible seed' of the Word of God and you must do several things to help it grow.  These include

• Reading the Bible and praying daily

• Attending a Bible believing and preaching church

• Spending time with other Christians

Then you must be baptised (fully immersed in water) which declares to everyone around you, the decision you have made to follow Jesus.

When you were born again, the Holy Spirit came to live in you.  He liberated you from the powers of sin and death and began the process of regeneration to new life.  He gives assurance of salvation and the power to witness and live a holy life, and as a new believer you must pray continually for His guidance and control in your life.

All along, God must always remain the source of your strength, wisdom and hope for every day of your life here on earth.  You will grow as long as you look to the Son of God, Jesus.

To have a fruitful life you must share the Good News of Jesus with those around you.  This is called "witnessing" and involves telling others about what you have experienced by accepting Jesus.
